World of Warcraft Wrath Classic
Get One of Every Class to Level 80
To view my old WoW Classic goal, you can find it on my old site, for as long as it remains up, which I'm not too sure how much longer it will. They will no longer let you edit those pages, so I am sure they are going to take them offline soon enough. Now, this goal page is going to look a little different. Mainly because Wix doesn't really like tables, for some reason. I could make one, but it's kinda annoying, and really likes to mess up whenever I edit it, so I am just going to list the classes and their levels. The list is still sorted by the way it always has been, though. You can find out why it's sorted the way it is by viewing my old WoW goal posts on my old site I linked above. Basically, it's just sorted by what classes were the highest levels back when I originally made a WoW goal on my site, back in 2011. You can see the original goal HERE (for now).

STATUS:
STOPPED
December 29, 2022: So I just found out that all my vanilla Classic characters are gone. The option to keep them on Classic or bring them over to TBC/upcoming Wrath was discontinued in July of this year. While I think this sucks, because I was going to keep some characters on vanilla (like my Shaman and Dwarf Pally), I admit I prefer that they at least transferred my characters into TBC/upcoming Wrath instead of keeping them all vanilla. Don't get me wrong, I actually had went into this goal, when I made it on this site on December 9, 2022, thinking I was going to roll all completely new characters in Wrath. But now that I have played it a bit, I am glad I didn't need to, because I have been able to help my Pally out so much with my other characters. But I am still sad I had to delete my Dwarf Pally, instead of just keeping him on vanilla Classic, where I could have eventually gotten him to 60 (he was 56). It also sucks that if I want to relive my glory days of High Warlord Undead Warrior, I'll have to start over from scratch instead of having my one that was already level 39 with the Whirlwind axe. Sadly they also put the character copy on sale for $5 the last few weeks it was available. I hated the price of it when it first came out, but $5 for every character (not per character)? I would have taken that deal, for sure! It's so much harder to level in vanilla than Wrath, so I really hate that I missed that. While I love vanilla, I absolutely dread doing the level 1-60 grind all over again. Especially on something like a Warrior. *Shudders* Priest wasn't so bad, though. Maybe I'd get a Troll Priest to 60 and try for the blue PvP set.
Update of the Dec 29 update: So I was going to just roll a new character on Mankirk, on the vanilla era server, just to see some things. And I loaded up the server and BOOM. My level 39 warrior, with his beautiful Whirlwind Axe and everything, was on there! I don't know how... IDK why. Maybe because it was the last character I played on in vanilla? Maybe because it was at the top of my character list? How he went from Windseeker to Mankirk, I'll never know, but I'm glad to see him! Now if only I could find my Dwarf Paladin and Troll Priest and I'd be right as rain. However I went through every other normal server and didn't find anyone else. :(
But hey! The possibility for a High Warlord Fallenkiller 2.0 just got a little bit more realistic. I mean it probably still won't ever happen, but it's a higher chance now than it was when I thought I'd have to level him from 1 again.
He has 111 gold, which I think is what all my characters had combined in vanilla Classic when I quit (and when I came back in Wrath). His bags, which were made by my Priest, don't say "Made by Bloodythesky". His bags are pretty full, but I think just with stuff I already had and not from my other characters. Same with the bank. So I guess they just decided to leave me one character. I find it kind of ironic that they choose my Warrior, though (my main class in actual vanilla that I got PvP rank 14 with). I had two characters that were higher level (Priest at 54, Paladin at 56), so I'm kinda surprised the system didn't just pick one of those. Like I said, if I had to guess, I'd say it was either because my Warrior was at the top of my character list or because he was the last thing I played before I logged off vanilla classic. Still... Kinda funny, though. Ha ha.
UPDATE 01/28/23: Okay, this is embarrassing. This happened with vanilla Classic now again with Wrath Classic (although not quite as quickly). I was mistaking some things in Wrath for actually some things in Cata. I can't freaking believe it. I was getting close to my Paladin being level 80 and I was like, "When do we get masteries? I thought it was like 76? Maybe at 80?" Masteries didn't come in until Cata. Also I think I am thinking back to when I was unkillable as a PvP Holy Paladin in Cataclysm. Once I saw Word of Glory, it all came back to me. We get more instant and quick heals in Cata. Holy Shock crits didn't make Flash of Light instant anymore, but it did drop it down to a 0.3 second cast (same with Word of Glory). Less if you had spell haste, of course. And then Flash of Light could sometimes make your next Holy Shock not cost a cooldown, so you could pop it off twice. If one of those was a crit, boom another .3 second Flash of Light cast. They of course slightly nerfed Sacred Shield and Word of Glory before Cata was over (so they'd probably be the nerfed versions from the start of Cata Classic), but I think I was still pretty unkillable.
I can't fucking believe that I might have been thinking of Cata this whole time, mistaking it for Wrath. Also Cata didn't take away the old long talent trees, Mists did that. Holy shit. I was hating on Cata for all these years (because that's when they changed the old world that I knew and loved. My nostalgia!) but it might have actually been my favorite time to PvP heal as a Holy Paladin. This... Changes everything. My whole life is a lie now. lol
I guess I'll find out soon enough, as I am almost level 80. At least now if they DO add a Cata Classic, my Paladin will already be level 80, so I won't need to level her but only 5 levels. lol (Assuming they let us transfer over and don't make me pay for it...). BUT I'M SERIOUS THIS TIME! I would 99% likely stop at a Cataclysm Classic, if Blizzard made one. Probably wouldn't be too interested in Mists. So they better keep Cata around and not force people into Mists.
UPDATE: 2/9/23 - My current WoW subscription time ends in three days (on the 12th), and I am probably not going to renew. Don't get me wrong, I still love this fucking game and have had a great time in Wrath Classic. I COULD still play it, but I want to get back to my backlog and PlayStation trophy hunting. I have so many other great games to play that I have never experienced before, so it's time to say goodbye to WoW Classic once again. And knowing this, I am having a really hard time knowing what I want to do on the game for the next 3 days. I've mainly just been PvPing on my Paladin and getting her geared up in full 80 PvP epics. I got all but one ring, trinkets, gloves, weapon and shield. PvP healing has gotten better, but it's still not what I was hoping for. So if they ever go a Cata Classic, I will probably come back for that, just to experience almost unkillable (at least 1v1) Holy Paladin again. Until then, I probably won't be back on Classic. Unless they forever stop at Wrath Classic, I guess. Then I'd probably come back some day. Just probably not for awhile.
UPDATE 02/12/23 - My WoW time just ended literally minutes ago from typing this. It has been fun, but I can't wait to get back to trophy hunting and getting around to great games I haven't experienced yet, such as the God of War reboot and its sequel, Days Gone, Subnautica, Dying Light and its sequel, Persona 4 Golden and 5 Royale, just to name a few. While I did highly enjoy my time back with WoW, and Wrath Classic, there were issues I ran into. Other than finding out that I was actually thinking about healing with my Paladin in Cataclysm (d'oh!), there were other problems like a lot of bots in BGs. Like usually 3-5+ bots. Usually Death Knights. It was stupid and made us lose a lot. I saw a few on Alliance side too, but they mainly seem to be on Horde side. That or I am just unlucky (maybe a bit of both). I'll probably release a podcast episode about it soon. Possibly later today. So keep an eye out for that, if you are interested. My podcast is titled "Bloody Sky: Trophy Hunter".

December 9, 2022 - Goal started. That's it for now. I will post more here when I finally do break down and give into the siren's call that is Wrath Classic. Ha ha. I also can't believe it's going to be at the almost exactly 3 year later mark. lol
December 14, 2022 - Started Wrath Classic! Game time bought. Seen vanilla characters were in Wrath. Went back and added in my dates above for when I got levels on classes, other than my Paladin (because I rerolled my Paladin in Wrath). I had a few notes that I posted in the updates above in the original post, back on my old Google site. However I felt they were not as relevant now, in Wrath. Feel free to go back and read them in the original post on my old site. You can find the link above. Paladin rerolled and leveled from 1 to 11.
December 15, 2022 - Druid leveled from 3 to 6. Warlock from 23 to 24. Mage from 22 to 23. Paladin from 11 to 13. As you can see, I am having trouble sticking to one character. lol I want to use up some of this rested XP I have on all characters while the extra 50% XP boost is going. I know I got a whole month, but still. But I think I am going to cut down on altoholicing out so much and try to focus on my Paladin. If I get short on gold, I am probably going to level my Priest or Death Knight and try to get him into Outlands. The gold gain in Outland jumps a lot, so that would help a bit. So I might hop between my Paladin, Priest, Death Knight and Warrior a lot. Why Warrior? Well, if you don't know, Warrior was my main in OG vanilla and pretty much all of WoW. Paladin was my main alt, but sometimes seemed like my new main at times (I really liked PvP healing with my Paladin so sometimes it'd be more geared than my Warrior. lol). I got High Warlord (PvP rank 14) on that Warrior. So I can't help but to just play my old main class. Same race and class, I even tried to make it look the same. So yeah, the nostalgia hits me for that one. I'll probably level my Paladin to maybe the mid-to-high 40s, or low 50s, and then alternate between my Warrior and Paladin. Possibly Priest too, since he's already up there in level.
December 16, 2022 - Paladin leveled from 13 to 15. I didn't do as much on this day. I installed a few more addons that I was missing (that I finally figured out what they were lol). I also got on a few of my characters to see where their professions were at, and what things they all had. Turns out I had a bunch of gear saved up, on my Warrior, to give to my Paladin. I forgot about even doing that. Ha ha. Thankfully none of the pieces of gear I had saved for it gone to waste. The earliest piece was a level 19 cloak, and my Paladin, as you can see, isn't level 19 yet.
December 17, 2022 - Paladin leveled from 15 to 17. Warrior from 39 to 41. Druid from 6 to 10. Man, I forgot how much easier leveling a Warrior was in Wrath, compared to vanilla. You have things like Victory Rush and Taste for Blood (Overpower more often) to help speed things up. Instead of just auto attack with the occasional Slam or Heroic Strike. I got to 40, which also adds Mortal Strike, which is awesome. I also got his 100% speed epic ground mount to help speed up questing. I miss his Red Skeletal Warhorse (PvP mount), but the Ochre one will do for now. I stopped playing him for now, with about another full level of rested XP. I leveled my Druid just so I could get him Inscription and make some armor vellums for my Priest, so then my Priest can give enchants to my other characters. Armor vellums were not really going for much, on the auction house. I think about 99 silver for a stack of 20. But I opted to level my Druid instead, just so I didn't have to pay for them. I "saved" about 1 gold by instead using up about 3 hours on my Druid that I could have been playing on my Paladin. Do you see now why I have a problem? lol And now I want to make runecloth bags for my Paladin (which again would be made by my Priest), but I don't have any rugged leather. And rugged leather is going for a lot right now, on my server's auction house. About 2 gold for 1. 1 leather, that is. Not 1 stack. My highest level leatherworker is my Shaman. So don't be surprised if you see him start leveling up. Ha ha. Or I could just get my Priest to Outlands and start getting a lot more gold to throw around. Or get him high enough tailoring where he can make the early Outland cloth bags. Decisions, decisions... lol
December 18, 2022 - Paladin leveled from 17 to 18. Shaman from 34 to 35. Yes, I'm a weak, weak man. lol
December 20, 2022 - Shaman leveled from 35 to 36. Paladin from 18 to 20. I could have easily leveled my Shaman to 36 on the 18th, as I was literally a minute away (quest turn in), but I chose to log off to spend time with my family. Although I want to point out that I am not ONLY leveling my Shaman because of his skinning. I actually enjoy leveling my Shaman, and have always wanted a max level one. In vanilla classic I was actually tossing around the idea of getting my Shaman to 60 and grinding High Warlord (PvP rank 14) with him. My Shaman was my 4th highest level class in vanilla Classic (Paladin, Priest, Warrior then Shaman. Shaman was only a little behind Warrior). Windfury procs are so fun, but they are heavily dependent on RNG. My luck is pretty dumb in gaming, so I didn't want to rely on luck, even though it is a BLAST when it does happen. Plus, enhancement Shamans in vanilla are so easily kite-able. Even easier than Warriors. And I remember that was one of the main frustrating things, PvPing in vanilla, was getting kited to death on my Warrior. Shaman is even worse? Pass. Also leveling a Shaman is so much more satisfying in Wrath, with stuff like totem recall and being able to easily put down all 4 totems at once. Speaking of totems, they only take up one bag slot instead of 4 as well. Also once you get maelstrom weapon, those instant lighting bolts are fun. Sure, I'm kinda sad that they went dual wield, but you don't HAVE to dual wield. You'll just be hurting yourself if you don't, not to mention wasting talent points. But I have to admit that their DPS did go up a lot. Also yay! Paladin mount! I actually forgot Wrath made first mounts at 20 and epics at 40, I thought it was 30, for some reason.
December 21, 2022 - Priest leveled from 54 to 56. Paladin from 20 to 23. I got those two levels on my Priest by basically turning in quests. I did a little bit of grinding mobs for a few quests (I had to kill things for maybe 3 quests), but the rest was all turn-in XP. That is how crazy good this Joyous Journey XP boost is. You wouldn't think 50% would make a huge difference, but it does indeed. Not to mention my Paladin is already level 20 before even leaving the starting Blood Elf areas. I think they normally take you to only about 18, or so. So that should tell you how big of a difference it makes. I will probably be able to skip a few questing zones thanks to JJ. I really need to stop dicking around, and take advantage of this, to get my Paladin to 80 ASAP. Damn my altoholic nature. lol
December 22, 2022 - Paladin leveled from 23 to 26. I'm going to try to focus more on my Paladin, while this Joyus Journeys event is going on, which gives you an extra 50% XP. The sooner I get it to 80 and can start PvP healing with it, the quicker I can get my fill of Wrath Classic and move back onto my backlog. lol However I doubt I will be able to stay playing it at all times that I am on WoW. I would just get too bored doing that. That isn't the kinda person I am. If I am leveling, I like to experience different playstyles every so often. Now if I'm PvPing, I can sometimes stay with one class, because PvP is such a mixed bag experience. But questing is just "Go here. Kill these things. Come back. Repeat.". So I have to change it up SOMEHOW, which is usually when I go to a different class for a bit. Unless I'm just having an absolute blast with a character, it's hard for me to stick to one while leveling/grinding/questing.
December 26, 2022 - Paladin leveled from 26 to 27. Took a few day break from WoW to focus on my PlayStation trophies and content for a bit, plus play Fallout 76 with my dad. I also got on my Priest to do a few AVs, since it is AV weekend and BGs get you a bit of XP in Wrath. I almost got a full level in two battles. Both losses, of course (my luck). I hope I can get on again before it ends and take advantage of it more. I would love to get him 58+, so I can go to Outlands with him. If not, that's fine. I like questing in Wintergrasp. Too bad I wasn't able to get my Paladin to 51, to take advantage of AV weekend. I doubt I could have gotten it there even with just strictly leveling it up, and nothing else. Maybe, but doubtful. I would guess I'd be in the low-to-mid 40s, tops, if I just did that.
December 28, 2022 - Druid leveled from 10 to 11. Paladin from 27 to 31. Shaman from 36 to 37. Yeah, yeah, I know my Druid. But I wanted more vellums on my Priest. Ha ha. I know, I know. As for my Paladin, I really need to start buckling down and leveling it more. I think I am in a fairly good spot to grind out some levels. I keep stopping to level my Jewelcrafting, but it seems I have it at a decent level now, to where I can forget about it for a bit and just make things from any mithril and heavy stones I find. So I am hoping to get my Paladin to level 35ish, before the new year. 40 would be nice (epic mount!), but we'll see. Heck, even mid 30s might be unrealistic for me, knowing how I level. Ha ha. I wish I could have gotten a little bit more Joyous Journey AV weekend in on my Priest (or even be 50/51 for my Warrior to get honor with it), but I am okay with at least getting some in. Don't get it twisted, I do not regret passing on WoW to play FO76 with my dad (especially on Christmas weekend). It's purely my fault I didn't get more time in AV weekend. If I was on a better sleep schedule, I could have gotten a few more hours in, during the day when my dad was busy. Anyways, I hope to get my Paladin at least to Outlands before Joyous Journeys is over. I actually really hope to get it into at least the mid 70s! But that's looking less and less likely the more time that passes. Oh, and before you say anything about my Shaman leveling, just know that I actually didn't play on him much. He was really close to leveling and already had a completed quest which got him there. I just went into the major city and turned it in, that's all. I actually am having a hard time leveling my Shaman in Wrath. Don't get me wrong, leveling him is fun (I think leveling most classes in Wrath is more fun than vanilla), but it's just that whenever I play him, I feel like hopping on vanilla and getting one to max level for 2H Windfury crits in PvP. Ha ha. I mean I know that I would get steam rolled in vanilla PvP now days, but still. If they ever do a Classic Classic (lol) or do something that makes vanilla more populated again (with newbies, not just hardcores), then I think I am going to have to get a Shaman to 60 and try PvP with him. I doubt High Warlord *shudders*, but probably TUF and blue set.
December 29, 2022 - Paladin leveled from 31 to 35. I got a few decent levels in with my Paladin. Will I get it to 40 before the weekend? I still have my doubts, but that is my current goal. I want to get it to 40 either by or before Saturday. Saturday I will be busy doing stuff (my weekly video, celebrating the new year, probably playing FO76 with my dad, etc.), so if I don't get it there Saturday morning, it probably won't come to be. Then, by the time I can start hitting it hardcore again, I will have about 12 days of Joyous Journeys (50x XP) left. So it doesn't look like I am going to get my Paladin to 80 before then. Probably not even into the 70s, truth be told. Hopefully I can at least get it to 68 and into Northrend.
December 30, 2022 - Paladin leveled from 35 to 36. Well I got to the mid 30s, we'll see if I can hit my goal of 40 by tomorrow. IDK because I saw that I am actually now starting to get a little behind on her jewelcrafting. There are some decent pieces I can now make for myself on my Paladin, like my first trinket, but I need to level her JCing up a bit. So my plan is to hop on my Warrior (since he has an epic ground mount) and grind a crap ton of mithril. I also found out that a lot of stuff jumped up in price on my server's auction house for some reason. I was able to sale 14 silver ore for 75 gold. I was able to sell quite a few other things for prices I think was way too high as well. I made 200 gold in this 24 hours, not really going out of my way to farm anything special. Insane. Now I see what bots, and gold buying, did to the classic economy. I went and saw posts from OG Wrath and people talking about people not understanding people trying to sell full stacks of mithril for 15g. HA! Mithril is selling for about 80g per stack right now on my server's auction house. That's both ore and bars. It just goes to show how inflated the market is. That's over 5x higher than what it was in the original version of the game!
December 31, 2022 - Paladin leveled from 36 to 38. Well I reached my minimum goal of mid-30s, so I am happy about that. Sad that I didn't reach my higher goal of 40. I probably would have if I didn't stop to leveling her jewelcrafting up. It's just I don't want to repeat the same mistake I made in OG Burning Crusade, when I originally leveled my Paladin. She was a miner/JC there too, but I stalled out on leveling JCing I think around the same spot as I had to get over here. So I was never able to make gems for myself. I tried to level JCing up again in Cata and I got stalled again somewhere in TBC gems and gave up. I want to get her JCing to max this time! Oh well, at least level 38 is a decent level to start acquiring rested XP. I mean it might not be as good as 40+, but at least it doesn't run out as fast as the lower levels. So hopefully that means that I will get to 40 real quick, when I can hit it hardcore again in a few days. I mean there is a chance I will still play a little bit of WoW between here and the 4th (when I think I can come back to it hardcore), but it probably won't be much. I just have too much to do, and I want to play FO76 with my dad.
January 2, 2023 - Priest leveled from 56 to 57. Death Knight leveled from 55 to 57. Yeah, I know I should be working on my Paladin, but I am stuck with her JCing again. I need Aquamarines and Flasks of Mojo. Both of these things are pretty dang expensive and would wipe out my gold supply if I bought enough needed to get past this hump. So I am trying to level my two classes close to Outland to not only help with my gold supply, but also to get my Priest to make bigger mags for her. I am getting tired of running out of space while I'm trying to quest. Mainly due to mining stones and crap. Also I could probably farm flasks of mojo with my Death Knight. I tried with my Priest and it was just too slow. DKs can kill groups a little faster and with not as much down time. I might take skinning and mining on my Death Knight, just to make some gold AND help my Paladin out, by giving her any mithril I come across. So I might spend a day doing that. I know I can't really afford a day, but it is what it is. I'm too stubborn. lol I just CAN'T let JCing get the best of me. AGAIN! As for "Why skinning?", on my DK: Well for the extra gold, of course (even though gold doesn't really sale for much until you start to get into heavy+), but also for the extra crit chance.
January 4, 2023 - Death Knight leveled from 57 to 60. To show how much of a bonus this Joyous Journeys is, you are normally just 58 leaving the Death Knight starting area. I was 59, almost 60. I went ahead and went into Outlands and did only one quest and it got me to 60. Pretty crazy. Now to level his professions up.
January 5, 2023 - Priest leveled from 57 to 58. Paladin from 38 to 40. Yay! Epic mount! It's so fast! It's a little faster thanks to the movement speed talent. Yes, I finally went back to my Paladin. I FINALLY got her JCing to where I want it to be. Now I don't have to worry about it until I hit dense stones and mining thorium veins, which will be a little bit. Next thing I want to make for myself with JCing is the blue quality level 51 random enchant ring (hopefully I get "of the" bear or tiger). Thorium doesn't really start showing up until you're in the mid 40 zones. Like you see a few in The Hinterlands, but not many. They mainly start showing up more in the high 40/low 50 zones, like the plaguelands and Un'Goro Crator. So I can freely level my paladin to, at least, 51 without having to worry about JCing now. Hopefully by the time I get to 51 I will have already mined a few thorium, so I don't have to stop leveling to farm it, like I did for mithril/aquamarine (it was mainly the aquamarine). As for my Priest, I wanted to get him to Outlands, so he can start making Netherweave Bags for my Paladin (and other toons), but I got him to 58 and had to spend a crap ton of gold to get his tailoring up. It's STILL not at 300. I am 9 away. I was going to farm runecloth on my Death Knight, but I was like, "Wait, WTF am I doing!?" and went back to focusing on my Paladin. lol Funny/sadly enough, I would have spent less gold (WAY less gold, actually) just buying 4 Netherweave Bags off the auction house, instead of just trying to get my Priest level enough to make them for myself. I'm too damn stubborn when it comes to stuff like that. And I guess it's also because I want to be able to make them to sell them as well. IDK. But I figured that I will just give all the Runecloth I get on my Paladin (after getting her first aid to 300, that is) to my Priest. Hopefully that will be enough to get him to 300 by the time my Paladin is hitting Outlands. If not, even I might wait until I have her First Aid past Netherweave in Outlands, and then stop to maybe farm (or just buy) runecloth enough to level my Priest up enough so he can start making them. After my Paladin has acquired a good amount of spare Netherweave, that is. So I can just mail them to my Priest and hopefully have enough to get to the bags and start making them.
January 6, 2023 - Paladin leveled from 40 to 43. My Paladin's epic mount feels so nice, and I have enough gold to get the first ground flying, which I believe was updated to be 150% speed, towards the end of Wrath (it was 100 on the ground and only 60 up in the air), so it should be that way in Wrath Classic. I actually have enough gold to get the flying on two of my characters, I do believe. But I will just focus on my Pally for now. After Joyous Journeys is over (ends in 10 days. Sadface.), I might hop between my Pally and DK, so I'll probably get him (my DK) the first flying as well. My goal is to get my Paladin to AT LEAST Outlands (level 58) before the bonus XP JJ event is over. I wanted to get her higher today, but lack of sleep is kicking my ass. I am making a lot of mistakes and my head feels like it's swimming from time to time. I got to get some sleep. I am thinking I can get to 58 in 10 days, though. As long as I hit it hardcore on Saturday, I should be fine. Sadly my Paladin has already run out of rested XP, but she has passed my Warrior. Next up is passing my Priest. lol
January 7, 2023 - Paladin leveled from 43 to 47. Hammer of Wrath (level 44)! This isn't as big of a deal in Wrath of the Lich King as it was in vanilla, since in Wrath I am already killing way quicker than I was in vanilla (and OG TBC, for that matter), but it's still cool. It's actually critting for over 1.1k, even without full vengeance. I don't remember it being this powerful, but maybe it was? IDK. I remember struggling at this level with my Dwarf paladin in vanilla classic. I even had to go and respec to get the talent points that increases your hit chance by 3 (why more people don't recommend that talent is beyond me.). But with my Blood Elf, I am breezing through mobs. Killing them in seconds. I rarely need to even use Hammer of Wrath. Now time to take a bit of a break from WoW to enjoy some Fallout 76 with my dad and acquire some rested XP.
January 9, 2023 - Paladin leveled from 47 to 49. Since I'm on a little better sleep schedule, I was actually able to play some while my dad was busy with some errands, before we played any FO76. I can't wait to get to 50, for Crusader Strike, even though I am still killing stuff pretty fast. But I know that changes soon. At least it did in TBC. We'll see.
January 11, 2023 - Paladin leveled from 49 to 56 - Crusader Strike and two more levels until Outlands! So here we go! The last hardcore stretch of Joyous Journys (I've been wondering this whole time... shouldn't it be "Journies"? No?). It ends on the 16th. They say the 16th, but I wonder if they mean the 16th is the last day and not ending on that day? Most games update their game on Tuesdays, so I am going to assume that 16th (Monday) is the last day, but it'll actually end on reset of Tuesday. Which I think is 4AM my time, if I am remembering correctly. But regardless, like usual, Saturday will be the last day I can hit it hardcore. So we'll see what I get to by then. I got my Paladin's Jewelcrafting to 300, so I don't have to worry about stopping to level that anymore. I am excited to actually level up JCing in Outlands, while she is in Outlands, this time. Although probably most of those gems are useless and not worth much these days. So I'll probably just use them for myself and vendor the rest. Maybe mail a few of the better ones to my alts. I spent over 300 gold getting her JCing to max level. No, sadly not joking. But now I can just sell all the stuff I mine until I hit Outlands. Unless I give it to my Warrior (who is a Blacksmith). But nah, I probably won't. I will just sell it. I doubt I will level my Warrior too much in my current stint of Wrath Classic. I love him, but I need to focus on my Paladin. If I do level anything else, it will probably be my DK. I forgot how fun those were, at least in Wrath, until I started playing one again.
January 12, 2023 - Paladin leveled from 56 to 63. Outlands and flying, bay-beeeee! I had plenty of gold to buy the first flying. At the time I purchased it, I had a little over 1.6k gold between all my characters and almost 1.1k on my Paladin alone. It's crazy how fast my Paladin kills sometimes. Sometime even quicker than my DK. And remember, DKs are decked out in all blues when they leave their starting area and my Paladin is in mostly quest greens and a few very outdated blues. My DK has about 5.5k health and my Paladin only had 3.2k. If I get lucky with crits, I can have a target down in 2 or 3 seconds, oftentimes without Hammer of Wrath. I kill stuff quickly all while usually staying at almost full health and mana. It's crazy. It half makes me want to try some Ret PvP when I hit 80. I probably won't, because I will be too heavily undergeared for it to be any fun, probably. Going in as Ret with no resilience doesn't sound like a good time. Where at least as Holy I have a chance to outheal the damange. I'm probably still going to get dropped fast, but it'll be better than Ret. Plus as a healer I can stay back, instead of chraging in as Ret. My luck is too dumb, especially in WoW. If I'm not playing a healer, no one is a healer. If I get on my healer, there are too many healers and not enough damage dealers. As much as I love WoW PvP, it has always hated me. Like if I play Horde, Alliance always win. When I play Alliance, Horde always win. I know some people say. "Hurr durr, common denominator.", but I can't win an AV by myself, no matter how good I am. Or even AB, for that matter. Only BG you can sometimes make a clear difference in is WSG. And due to this, I usually have to be the one to carry the flag (I can't get it back without help, being Holy), because everyone else was being stupid with it. That's why I hate WSG. The rest of my team is terrible and starts giving up. I'm the only one ever trying. If we don't get the first cap, my team always starts giving up. It's lame.
January 13, 2023 - Paladin leveled from 63 to 66. Not as good of a day as yesterday, but still a decent chunk. Leveling slows way down in the 60s (not as slow as TBC, but still slower than 1-59), so I guess 3 levels isn't bad. One more day. Will I be able to get to Northrend (68) tomorrow? Maybe. I am almost half way to 67 and I am just now getting to Nagrand, my favorite Outland zone. It's going to be sad to skip some of this zone, but as soon as I get to 68, it's off to Northrend. Mainly just because of the better loot. Better gear means the quicker I can kill stuff. Plus, I'm sure Northrend quests award more XP. I might be wrong on that, but if I had to guess, I'd say they do.
January 14, 2023 - Paladin leveled from 66 to 68. Northrend! Even with the 50% bonus XP JJ event going on, leveling is slowing way down. I used to be able to get about a level every 40 minutes to an hour (when "in the zone" and hitting it hardcore), but now leveling is taking me a little over a hour and a half. 67 to 68 took me an hour and 45 minutes. Plus now I want to stop and level my JCing to 350, so I can start Northrend JCing. I also need to log off and do my weekly Trophy Hunting video for YouTube. I'm not too sure how much more playing I will get done before JJ is over. Probably not much more tonight. And I might be able to squeeze some in tomorrow, as long as I get up early enough to get some playing in before my dad is ready to hop on Fallout 76 (which is also doing bonus XP right now lol). UPDATE: Got my Paladin's JCing to 350 and went to Northrend. Bought all the profession upgrades (which set me back a crazy 250g). So now I am ready to journey out in Northrend. I haven't done a single thing there yet, though, aside from that. And probably won't have time to until tomorrow.
January 15, 2023 - Paladin leveled from 68 to 69. The "nice" level. lol Well the Joyous Journeys (50% bonus XP) was fun while it lasted. I am kind of worried about how long it's going to take me to reach 80 now. Leveling from 68 to 69 took quite awhile, even with JJ. So 69-80 might take me a pretty good chunk of time. I hope not, but I guess we'll see. How long will my last 11 levels take?
January 18, 2023 - Paladin leveled from 69 to 70. 69 to 70 was pretty quick (I wish I could have gotten it while JJ was still active), but 70 to 71 is proving to take quite awhile. I have done, what feels like, 50 quests and I am only a quarter of the way in. Let's buckle up, this might take me awhile. lol
January 19, 2023 - Paladin leveled from 70 to 71. I am hoping I can get at least one level a day, on days that I am not playing FO76 with my dad. If I can, then that means I will hopefully be level 80 by February 10th. The bad thing about that is that my current subscription time will be ending on February 12th, just two days later. So even if I manage to hit 80 a day or two early, I will probably still have to pay for another month or two, to get my fill of Wrath Classic. Unless I'm just simply not liking level 80 PvP on my Holy Pally at all, which I am doubting will happen unless I just get insta-slaughtered from being a fresh 80. Then I might be fine. We'll see.
January 20, 2023 - Paladin leveled from 71 to 72.
January 21, 2023 - Paladin leveled from 72 to 73. It looks like it's taking me about 4 and a half to 5 hours each level. I already miss Joyous Journeys, where it's only take me like 2 hours to level. lol
January 25, 2023 - Paladin leveled from 73 to 74. Took me about 4 and a half hours once again, but some of that time was spent AFK or in town (selling stuff on AH, putting stuff in my bank, etc.). At least taking the weekends off gets me a decent amount of rested XP, and I am at the point were rested XP helps out A LOT. Since it takes so much XP to level up at these levels, and you get the bulk of your XP from turning in quests, even two bars of rested XP can last you a couple of quests worth. I have about a quarter bar of rested XP right now, and I am hoping that will take me most of the way through level 74.
January 26, 2023 - Paladin leveled from 74 to 75. Sure enough, my rested XP was able to take me into 75. I will definitely have enough gold for Cold Weather Flying, which I believe is 1k, at level 77, but I doubt I'll have enough for epic flying. I would still need about another 2k for that, and I don't see me getting that much in another two levels. But epic flying isn't all that important to me. Remember, I mainly just do PvP battlegrounds at max level, so I don't really need to zoom around zones too much. I know it would help me get those last 3 levels a lot quicker, but not much I can do about it. I am NOT going to stop and grind out 2k gold, although I probably could pretty easily with my Death Knight. I just want to get to 80 ASAP, so I'm not going to wait.
January 27, 2023 - Paladin leveled from 75 to 76. Level 75 took me a bit longer, a little over 6 hours. Main reason is because I did the quest to take back Undercity. Main reason I did it (other than the blue piece of gear) was because I didn't really remember it. I'm sure I did it on at least one of my characters, back in OG Wrath, but I just couldn't really remember it. I somewhat remembered that cutscene before it, but not really taking back UC. And that quest takes a pretty long time if you are the only one doing it (which I was). I say that quest alone took me at least an hour. And then I did a few AVs, since they are double honor (and XP) this weekend. You get decent XP for it. About two bars per win and one per loss. I'm kind of half tempted to just grind AV to 80. lol But I'm afraid that might hurt my gear for 80. Although I already have enough honor to buy a few pieces of the level 80 honor PvP set, so IDK.
January 28, 2023 - Paladin leveled from 76 to 79. I basically leveled to 79 entirely with AV. It took me a little over 4 and a half hours at 77, so it seems about on par as questing, when it comes to speed. I doubt I will have enough time to hit 80 like this, but I'm going to try!
January 30, 2023 - Paladin leveled from 79 to 80. PALADIN COMPLETE! I got to 80 before I predicted. Probably mainly because of AV leveling (which would sometimes be quicker than questing). I got the weak level 80 Epic PvP set right away. I now have almost everything PvP gear (although not all 80) except necklace and cloak. My rings, gloves and shield are still the level 70 epic PvP gear. I doubt I will level up anything else with my final days of WoW (12 days left), but maybe. I guess if I am not digging 80 PvP. We'll see. Turns out I might have been thinking of Cata this whole time, when I was remembering my Paladin being an unstoppable PvP healing machine. Which feels... Weird as hell. lol
February 2, 2023 - Priest leveled from 58 to 59. Warlock from 24 to 25. While PvP healing on my Paladin has gotten a little better, it's still not what I was remembering it to be (mainly because now I think I was thinking of Cata this whole time... lol). I now think it was my Arms Warrior I loved PvPing with in Wrath. I don't want to get my Warrior to 80 (it'd take too long), so I am just going to altholoic out until my time expires in about 10 days from now.
February 3, 2023 - Rouge leveled from 20 to 21. Priest leveled from 59 to 60.
February 4, 2023 - Warrior leveled from 41 to 44. Mage from 23 to 24. -
February 5, 2023 - Mage leveled from 24 to 25.
February 8, 2023 - Mage leveled from 25 to 27.
February 12, 2023 - Warrior leveled from 44 to 45. I leveled my Warrior one last time before my time expired, kinda like I did at the end of vanilla Classic. So long Wrath Classic. It's been fun! -
May 12, 2024 - Mage leveled from 27 to 28. Tried out the free "Welcome Back Weekend" in Cata pre-patch. Didn't play it much because Horde gets slaughted in BGs in Classic (at least from my experience. Played about 15 BGs, only won twice. 95% of the loses were complete steamrolls). Really killed my desire to come back to this. But I did play around on some alts for a bit. Only one I leveled was my Mage, though. I was excited for Cata Classic, but no point now. I only like to PvP at max level and getting steamrolled every damn match is no fun. So I guess I get to keep focusing on my backlog. I love you WoW Classic, but you're like the "perfect ex". I leave you for a new reason every time, although I still wish I could be with you. Ha ha. Yeah, I could reroll a character to Alliance but meh, I don't want to do all that.

FAQ:
Q: Are you really going to get one of every class to max level?
A: Depends on a few things. For one, if they keep Cata Classic around forever, and don't overwrite it with MoP Classic (like they did with TBC Classic into Wrath and again with Wrath into Cata) or force my characters there, then I could see me possibly having one of each class at max level, eventually. But that leads into the 2nd thing it would depend on... How much I played. -
-
Q: Are all these characters Horde or Alliance or a mixture?
A: Currently all horde.
Q: Are you going to Mage/level/dungeon boost to level up these characters?
A: Hell no. I know it's A LOT slower to quest normally, but half the fun I have in this game is leveling, getting more powerful and getting to use more spells. I am not only focused on the end game, like pretty much everyone else seems to be. I actually enjoy questing and leveling. Yes, I also enjoy max level PvP, but I also highly enjoy the journey to get there. Even if you get something that allows you to boost a character to level 50, 60, or 70-something for free (I don't think they give these out for free in Classic, but I could be wrong), I'm not going to use that either. The only exception is, of course, Death Knight. They start at level 55, so no way around that.
Q: Which server?
A: Currently all on Windseeker (US East PvE).
Q: Why is getting one of each class a goal of yours?
A: I answered this in my very first WoW goal post, I made for retail WoW many, many years ago. You can find that HERE. There were actually two reasons I mentioned. I will copy and paste it all here, just in case they ever take those old sites down, which I am sure they will sooner or later, since we can no longer edit them.
"I have this particular goal simply because I'm an "altoholic" (someone who enjoys having multiple characters) and I love to PvP. PvPing is the only thing I do at max level. I'll be the first to admit that sometimes I get my ass handed to me in PvP. Whether it's by a player better geared than myself, a class that is currently the "flavor-of-the-month" (powerful in the current patch), or because I was simply out-skilled (damn my brain for putting a mental block on learning hotkeys!). But usually if I get owned by a certain class over and over, it makes me want to PvP with that class for a little while. Like I was PvPing on my Holy Paladin and got hit by a 40k Chimera Shot [This was in Cataclysm, while I already had max level gear and a lot of resilience. For people who didn't play the game back then, and might not get it, just let me say that this was a huge number. Basically took out 65% of my health in one hit, which is an instant cast shot from a Hunter.]. It made me want to PvP with a Hunter. But since I didn't have a max level Hunter, I just leveled mine up for a little while instead, hoping to get there one day.
So with this goal, I plan to eventually get owned by a class, and hop on to that class for a little while until I get owned by another and jump to that one. It will be a vicious cycle. A vicious cycle of FUN! ...And me being bad. Ha ha ha."
"I love RPGs. They are my favorite genre of video games. Leveling up and gaining new/better gear along the way, and getting more powerful, is my favorite thing about RPGs. Sure, I get more powerful by gaining better gear at max level, but PvPing all the time just doesn't feel very RPG-ish to me. I know this may sound silly to some, but that's just how it feels for me. Plus, being a huge PvPer, I never have too much gold. I am tired of being broke. If I level all my alts up to max, I should get a pretty good chunk of gold with each character in the process, just from the questing alone (not counting professions and auction house sales)."
Q: Other than your Warrior, Paladin, Priest and Death Knight, what class(es) could you see getting to 80 first?
A: Probably Shaman. I've always liked Shaman but never got one to max level. And I hear they are stupid OP'd at PvE in Wrath, so leveling should be a breeze. Other than Shaman... Hmmm. Maybe Mage? Again, I've always loved Mages, and the amount of damage they can do with crits and nuke things for a distance, but I never got one to max level.
Q: So you'd never play a Mists or later version of WoW Classic?
A: So it turns out that all this time I was mistaking Wrath for Cataclysm. I thought Wrath was my favorite time PvP healing, but now playing Wrath, I find out it was Cata. I looked at my Paladin on retail, and she is in transmogged Wrath final PvP set. So it turns out I actually took my first major break at the beginning on Wrath. I didn't come back until the end. I got the full PvP epic set and then Cata hit. So that's probably why I was mixing the two. So I indeed probably WILL play a Cataclysm Classic. However, that is probably where I'd stop. While Mists was okay, there was a lot of things I didn't like about it. I didn't like how they started changing Paladins to be a more of a "in-the-mix" combat healer. I mainly like to just sit back and heal. And I especially hated the addition of cross-realm zones.
Q: So there was NOTHING about Mists, etc. that you liked?
A: I liked a few things. I liked I'm pretty sure they made leveling even more easier than Cata, not to mention faster. Heck, I made my first ever WoW goal of this type (get one of every class to max level) in original Cata, due to that was when I finally thought I could actually get one of each class to max level, with how easy and relaxing leveling was. I got a lot of my classes into the 80s in Mists, like my Hunter, Death Knight and Mage. PvP in Mists was still okay, but I didn't like it as much as Cata. I did like the bind of account blues you could find throughout the world in Mists. Like I remember a I found blue 2-handed mace that I used on my Warrior and then mailed it to my Death Knight to use. I also believe they made a lot of the heirloom gear a lot cheaper, so it was easier to purchase. It was still expensive, but no where as much. I think I had a almost full heirloom set for each armor type (cloth, leather and mail for sure. I can't remember about plate).
I was "meh" on things like pet battles. I liked it at first, but I felt it got too grindy after awhile. I also liked how they made Rouge lockpick level up with you instead of needing to go out and grind it up. I'm kinda torn on weapon skills doing that too. On one hand it was nice not missing everything when you got a new weapon, but I can't lie it was sometimes fun to go train it up and watch your character slowly hit harder with it.
Honestly, I'd MAYBE play anything up to Battle for Azeroth Classic. BfA they introduced level-scaling zones, which made questing annoying. Sure, it was nice being able to stay in liked zones longer, and skip hated zones, but they also made leveling longer and harder again (who's bright idea was that when you have to level for 100+ levels!?) as well as weakened heirlooms. So that is out of the question. I like to relax when I level alts. So, again, I would maybe play a Cata, Mists or even Legion Classic. I never played Legion AT ALL, so that'd actually be kinda tempting to see what Legion had. I think I heard something about them having "class halls", or something. So would an altoholic like me get rewarded with all the class halls, assuming I got them all up to that level? lol But really, I doubt it. I'd probably just play to Cata and be done. I really hope they stop at Cata. But a lot of people like Mists, so they'll probably stop there, sadly.
Q: So you're NEVER going to go back to current/retail WoW?
A: Much like the Mists, and beyond, Classic question: Never say never. I tried again when my last subscription time ended. While I liked a lot of the newer quests (more interactive, voice acting, pretty cool.), I just hated PvP. I also hated how combat looked. My Warrior looks like he's throwing a temper tantrum. I hate it. I also dislike some of the new looks of the character models. I played it all morning. I'd say at least a good 4 hours. It was not for me. Sorry retail WoW. It felt more like WoW 2 than the WoW I know and love. And sorry... The sequel is NOT as good as the original.
I've tried to get into retail WoW so many dang times over the years, and just can't. I'll continue to give it a try here and there, but it's highly unlikely. I will probably forever be a Classic WoW, if any WoW, player.
Q: What if they overwrite Cataclysm Classic with Mists of Pandaria Classic, like they did with TBC to Wrath and again with Wrath to Cata? So on and so forth?
A: I'd probably pass unless I got an extreme itch to come back and play WoW again, or needed to play it to help me through a tough spot in life, OR a friend or two wanted me to play WoW with them, or something like that. But as long as I could keep my WoW Classic addiction at bay, I'm not too sure if I'd ever come back, if that were the case. Like I said, there were some things I did like, but a lot I didn't. So I'd probably just give WoW an emotional goodbye and keep pushing with my large gaming backlog.
But, again, really I'd possibly play any version of WoW Classic up until BfA. If they ever kept overwriting it all the way up to BfA again, I would never return. Maybe for Vanilla, TBC, Wrath or Cata Classic Classic. LOL!
Q: So you're another one of those people who think Wrath was the best version of WoW?
A: Hmmm. That's a tough question. If you would have asked me this before vanilla Classic ever came out, I would have said vanilla was the best version. But after playing through it again, I admit that there were some really annoying things about vanilla. Just level a Warrior or Paladin and you'll see what I mean. I mean I think it has the best version of PvP (other than dungeon runners having the best PvP gear), which is what I enjoy to do most in WoW, but overall... IDK. I guess I probably would say that Wrath is probably the "best" version with old Azeroth in tact. I think it's the perfect mix of casual and hardcore. The beginning of Cata, I think, did everything Wrath did right and took it another step further. It wasn't until the Mists pre-patch where it all started to go downhill, IMO.
Q: You rerolled your old Tauren Shaman to a Goblin Shaman in the original WoW goal post you made, back on your old site. IF you play Cata, would you again reroll your Shaman to Goblin?
A: That's a tough one. IF they made Cataclysm Classic and IF I played it... I really don't know. This time my Shaman is an Orc, so I am not too sure. I am really trying to decide what, if anything, I would reroll to Goblin. I do like them, but I'm not sure if I would reroll anything to one. If I didn't mess with my Death Knight too much, I guess I would maybe consider that, but IDK. Goblin Death Knights seem like a weird concept to me. lol I would say maybe my Hunter, but Orc Hunters are cool with the added pet damage racial bonus, although that bonus gets weaker and weaker every expansion, it seems. Ha ha. I would say Rogue, but my Rogue is my female Orc, which is the only female Orc I have. Same with Warlock, that is my female Undead, and it's the only female Undead I have. So I really don't know what I'd reroll, if anything. I guess I could have 2 of a class, but that makes little sense to have in Wrath+ Classic (since the addition of dual spec), unless they are on different factions, or something.
Q: I don't understand why guys play female characters. Why do you?
A: I play mostly male characters. At the current time, the only female characters I have are Paladin, Warlock and Rouge. That's it. 3 out of 10 characters. The only reason I have those female are because I just wanted something different. My Warrior and Mage are both male Undead, so I wanted a female one for something different. My Hunter, Shaman and Death Knight are all male Orc, so I wanted something different for my Orc Rouge. My Paladin is female just because I don't really care for the look and sound of male Blood Elves. I started as one, back in original TBC, when I first ever made my Paladin and just couldn't take it. He-YAH! Nope. Only thing I don't like about female Blood Elves, other than being so damn tiny, is the yelp they sometimes let out when they are critically hit. AARGH!
